Hamazkayin has always sustained its educational and cultural activities by its own means and refrained from soliciting financial contributions from the Diaspora Armenians. However, the current geopolitical situation has adversely and severely affected the financial condition of the Central Executive. Therefore, we call upon our concerned compatriots to attenuate the current crisis by their contributions.
Product Description
The fundamental intents of Hamazkayin Armenian Educational and Cultural Society are bolstering the Armenian education and the dissemination of national culture. True to its objective, Hamazkayin has achieved much through its nearly a century-long steadfast efforts in these spheres.
To name a few, Hamazkayin has founded lyceums (Djemaran) in Beirut, Marseille, Sydney. Several day schools are successfully running in Western hemisphere and Moscow, educational programs for the children of Artsakh, as well as the noteworthy Armenological Center in Aleppo. All these educational establishments provide a high level of education in general, along with Armenian cultural upbringing for scores of children and young adults.
More recently, new textbooks for the kindergarten, and history of Armenia for the middle school students were published. The publication of books on various subjects – some multilingual – has been ongoing. Aiming to reach a larger number of readers, an electronic library was made available globally.
In order to make the learning process for children more engaging and game-like, the department of contemporary teaching programs has been creating telephone applications, Armenian-speaking dolls, and publishing children’s books. Currently, new educational programs are in the developmental stage and will become available in the near future.
To sustain and further develop the existing programs and projects, the Central Executive Board appeals to all those who believe in Armenian education to make their contributions.
